THE YEAR 1956-1970
Mr. Felix Bonin of the village of Boucé was the owner of La Reina Negra.
During this period the car had the licence plate number 307 CD 03.
The 03 meant it has it´s origin from the province “Allier”, situated in the
heart of France.
In 1996 , I travelled with La Reina Negra through France to visit the family
Bonin , hoping that Mr. Felix Bonin was still alive.
Soon I discovered he was deceased but his wife was still alive.
I will never forget the expression on her face ; with crying eyes she told me
how her children were always sitting in the back of the car when they drove.
Madame Bonin was remarried and we all together took a Ricard to toast to
the future….
Mr. Bonin was a great farmer and he loved his profession very much.
His love although for La Reina Negra disappeared by the end of the sixties.
The car was left outside in the field and this was great luck for the next owner
of La Reina Negra , Mr. Dirk Vonk .
