In the year 2000 , La reina Negra received the licence number H-0350-BBB. In that year I bought a detached chalet with garage. Since 1980 , La Reina was stored in many different places. Finally after so many years La Reina Negra had it´s own home!

As an estate agent I was selling a lot of properties , especially to German , English and Irish customers . In 2001 , I sold a house to Mr. Ben Schep from Holland. Ben had a well known restaurant in Hoevelaken. In this restaurant the Traction Avant Club Nederland always had it´s yearly reunion. What a small world indeed ! I drove with La Reina Negra quite a number of couples on their wedding day. The canarian people are not big spenders on these type of cars. If their budget is limited than they would give preference to good food and live music above a classic car. For the driver of La Reina Negra was although always a seat available at the long table !!

In 2002 and 2003 La Reina Negra was hardly used. I was working a lot on the house and the car had to be moved out of my garage to the garage of my friend Robert Tait. The year 2003 became a year of sadness and happiness. My very good friend Guy passed away and my son Andrés was born on the 8th of August. These events had of course an effect on the use of the classic car. In December 2004 there was talk about a possible repeat of the rally Paris – Moscow – Paris (The first rally took place in 1984) On the 26th of April 2005 I got myself registered as possible participant in the rally Paris – Moscow – Paris 2009.

Since 2006 I am registered as participant . The rally will be as good for the driver as for the classic car. La Reina Negra is ready for it´s next adventure and WILL WRITE HISTORY AGAIN !!
