THE YEAR 1988: PARIS

The garage RIALLAND was situated in “Rta d´Asnières – Clichy , just outside Paris. One day the car mechanic asked me : Where is this Traction originally from ? He couldn´t understand the JT-14-YV and he had never seen this type of French number (….) The garage was professional but it was getting too expensive. I was looking for a private garage and I wanted to legalise the car in France.

A classic car and taxi company had shown interest in La Reina Negra . They had a lot of clients from Africa , like people from the government. I had to choose between the uncertain future in Paris and the offer of my father´s nursery. With pain in my heart I left Paris , the city that transformed me into a man…..
